Practice 15 different pattern stitches while you knit a lovely afghan and pillow using worsted weight yarn and size 9 straight knitting needles. The afghan has 15 pattern blocks, each 14' square and bordered in seed stitch: Double Square; Eyelet Mock Cable; Left Diagonal; Double Seed; Yarn Over Chevron; Garter Stitch Rows; Right Diagonal; Cables; Rib and Seed; Yarn Over Eyelet Rows; Blackberry; Checks; Diamonds; Twisted Rib; and Large Diamond. The approximate finished size of the afghan is 42' x 70', before fringing. The pillow may be made using any of the 15 squares, including different patterns for the front and back.
