This is one of our last two remaining original Christopher Columbus theme chess sets produced by Studio Anne Carlton. This is an original Christopher Columbus that was stored away when this model was discontinued over 15 years ago. This is a brand new chess set that has never been used. This chess set comes with the original two tray Studio Anne Carlton decorative box. As with all Studio Anne Carlton sets, each piece is thoughtfully designed with artistically detailed capturing the essence of the character. King Height: 4.25' King Base: 1.375' Material: Ground Stone (heavy and durable) Antiqued Bronze & Ivory Felt Bottom History and description of chess pieces printed on fine parchment paper. Packaged in decorative cardboard box with formed tray for individual piece storage. We recommend a chess board with 2.125 to 2.25' squares.
