This is our Riddling Knight from over 15 years ago with a 4' tall king made in genuine red sandalwood and boxwood. The import of red sandalwood chessmen has been banned for years making this a rare opportunity. These are brand new chess sets that have never been used or played with. They have been stored safely away for years. The Ridding Knight is a unique looking Staunton design with a large chamfered base that sets this set apart from others. Pieces have a wide yet elegant profile with are quad-weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board. This is one of the heaviest sets we have ever sold and sports black leather pads on the bottom. The red sandalwood is one of the most beautiful woods ever used for chessmen with a blend of rich colors that range from coral orange to burgundy.
