Our French Lardy Staunton originates from the classic model produced by the French Lardy Chess Company many years ago. The pieces are beautifully shaped with simple detail that will withstand the wear and tear of regular use. This set features a 3.75' king with a base diameter of 1.5', an excellent size for tournament play or the game at home. Pieces are weighted for stability on the chess board and have thick green baize pads. The chess bag is made from a heavy canvas material that will withstand the rigors of frequent use and travel.
