This chess set package includes the Old Classic Staunton Chess Set in golden rosewood and boxwood matched with our Deluxe Walnut Chess Case. Our This old tradition Staunton design has been around for years and on of our original models over twenty years ago. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft landing on the chess board and are nicely weighted for stability. The golden rosewood has rich golden-brown colors and a beautiful grain while the cream colored natural boxwood is the perfect wood for the white chess pieces. The pieces are hand polished and lacquered to a beautiful luster. Our Deluxe Chess Case has two drawers with individual compartments for storing all 32 chess pieces separately. The compartments are lined on the sides and bottom with a soft beige velour material to protect the pieces from getting scuffed up. The case measures 19' square and is 3' tall. The chess board squares are 2' and are enclosed by an attractive black border. The sides of the case have an elegant molded profile and the board on top is enclosed by a frame.
