This turns the tripod into a professional-looking, and easy-to-use launch pad. The rocket is raised off the ground making it easier to prep and see at lift-off. Most tripods make it easy to adjust the launch angle and to tilt the launch pad to allow the rocket to be placed on the rod. A tripod and blast deflector are not included. An inexpensive tripod designed for standard-sized cameras can support most model rockets. A blast deflectoris required. You can use one from an Estes or Quest launch pad or fashion one from a piece of metal. The photos show the Adeptor being used with the blast deflector from an Estes launch pad.
