Based on the same-titled survival game, the atmospheric psychological horror is set in 1962 during Taiwan's White Terror period of authoritarian rule. Two teenaged students trapped in their high school encounter supernatural horrors that allude to the real horrors of their time and place. High school senior Fang Ray Shin (Gingle Wang) is in love with her tutor Chang Ming Hui (Fu Meng Po). Faced with problems at home and at school, she sees him as her only way out in this suffocating era of loneliness and repression. Ming Hui organizes a reading club with other teachers and students in order to study banned books. In the high-pressure environment of the school, they risk their lives to experience a bit of freedom. One rainy night, Ray Shin and classmate Chung Ting (Tseng Ching Hua) wake up at school. The two try to search for their teacher, but they find that the dark and terrifying campus is not the world they once knew.
