Feeling knocked down by life in Hong Kong, former detective Pau Kai Chung (Chin Siu Ho) packs his bags and heads to Hubei's Wudang Mountains, one of China's two major homes of wushu. There, he meets his old wushu acquaintance Mo Yee Shan (Yuen Qiu) again. Now the proprietor of an inn and martial arts school, Yee Shan graciously takes Kai Chung in. They're soon joined by a group of Hong Kongers, including Yee Shan's daughter Lok Yeung (Tavia Yeung). Together, the ragtag group grow as wushu practitioners and as people, but a massive secret that lays dormant threatens to tear apart their newfound bond.
