Xiao Zhan, the breakout star of the hit series The Untamed , takes his first film leading role in Jade Dynasty . Best known for the A Chinese Ghost Story and Swordsman series, Hong Kong director Ching Siu Tung returns to period fantasy and action genres with this xianxia feature based on Xiao Ding's best-selling novel Zhu Xian , which also inspired the TV drama Noble Aspirations .
