The Handmaiden 's breakout actress Kim Tae Ri stars in the live-action film adaptation of Igarashi Daisuke's popular manga Little Forest about the rural life and cooking of a young woman. Nominated for the 10th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, Little Forest was previously adapted into a four-part Japanese live-action film starring Hashimoto Ai in 2014 and 2015. Directed by Yim Soon Rye ( Forever the Moment ), the Korean version of Little Forest transplants the setting to the beautiful Korean countryside over four seasons of cooking and farming. The soothing foodie drama also co-stars Moon So Ri ( The Handmaiden ) as the heroine's mother and Ryu Jun Yeol ( The Taxi Driver ) and rookie actress Jin Ki Joo as her childhood friends. Burned out by life in Seoul, Hye Won (Kim Tae Ri) returns to her rural hometown to clear her mind. Surrounded by nature and not much else, she grows her own food and creates various delicious dishes with seasonal ingredients. Supported by her friend Jae Ha (Ryu Jun Yeol) and Eun Sook (Jin Ki Joo), she gradually heals her troubled heart and the unresolved pain of her mother's abandonment. This edition comes with special features including audio commentary, producer video, recipe video, the story of Ogu, keyword talk and trailers.
