Enter the Fat Dragon ! Donnie Yen flexes both his action and comedy chops in this delightful homage to Sammo Hung's same-titled 1978 classic, which was a zany tribute to Bruce Lee's Way of the Dragon . Amazingly athletic even in a fat suit, Donnie pays tribute to both martial arts icons in the 2020 action comedy set in Hong Kong and Tokyo. The throwback film is written by comedy meister Wong Jing and directed by action veteran Tanigaki Kenji, whose action director and choreographer credits include Big Brother , Wu Xia , Flash Point , SPL and the Rurouni Kenshin series. Wong Jing also co-stars in the film, along with Teresa Mo, Niki Chow, Takenaka Naoto and Louis Cheung. Fallon Zhu (Donnie Yen) is a model police officer with supreme fighting skills and a high crime-busting rate. However, due to relationship issues with his fianc e (Niki Chow), he falls into despair and turns to eating to relieve his stress. As a result, he gains 200 pounds in six months! Fallon's superior (Louis Cheung) assigns him on a simple mission to escort a suspect to Japan, but many things go wrong. Besides losing his belongings, he also loses the suspect who soon turns up dead. To complete his mission, Fallon teams up with ex-cop Thor (Wong Jing) to get to the bottom of the case.
