In 2017, Wong Jing and Jason Kwan directed the Hong Kong crime action drama Chasing the Dragon inspired by a real-life drug lord and corrupt sergeant. In 2019, they bring a thrilling new story in the thematic sequel Chasing the Dragon II: Wild Wild Bunch , which is inspired by the real-life criminal Big Spender Cheung Tze Keung who abducted the sons of two of Hong Kong's biggest tycoons in the nineties. Tony Leung Ka Fai stars as the notorious criminal while Louis Koo plays an undercover officer. Wild Wild Bunch 's cast also includes Gordon Lam, Michael Wong, Candice Yu, Angie Cheung, Natalie Meng and Dominic Ho, as well as Simon Yam and Mainland Chinese actor Du Jiang in special appearances. In 1996 when Hong Kong is preparing for the handover of government, criminal mastermind Logan Lung (Tony Leung) takes advantage of this lax transition time period to make big money. He and his gang abduct the super rich, whose families choose to pay large ransoms without reporting to the authorities. The police catch wind of the crimes and send bomb squad officer Sky (Louis Koo) to infiltrate Logan's inner circle. Sky becomes the gang's explosives point man, and discovers that Logan's next target is Macau casino tycoon Stanford Ho (Michael Wong).
