Having previously been made into a Chinese TV series already, Midnight Diner gets another Chinese adaptation on the silver screen! Tony Leung Ka Fai makes his directorial debut adapting Abe Yaro's manga about a late-night diner that serves comfort food to troubled people with stories to share. The Hong Kong actor also takes the leading role of the owner and chef who always has just the right dish for his diners. This version retells four delicious and heartwarming stories from the manga. The film's ensemble cast includes Vision Wei, Jiao Junyan, Joyce Cheng, Zhang Yishang, Jin Shijia, Elaine Kam, Stanley Fung, Zhang Li, Connor Leong, Bella Du and Wang Jingwen as well as Deng Chao in a special appearance. There are also cameos by Eddie Peng, Yo Yang, Liu Tao, Zhang Yibai, Blackie Chen, Hao Ping, Jiang Wenli and Bernard Ng.
