Moon Jung Suk and Kim Jin Kyu first collaborated in The Evil Stairs before reuniting in Homebound in 1967. Chief surgeon Dr. Hyeon (Kim Jin Kyu) has been sleeping with nurse Nam Jin Sook (Moon Jung Suk) despite the fact that they are not married. However, the ambitious Dr. Hyeon actually plans to marry Jung Ja (Bang Sung Ja), the daughter of the hospital director (Choi Nam Hyeon). Knowing that Jin Sook won't let him go, he murders her and leaves her body in a lake. He is then tormented by Jin Sook's spirit and eventually driven to insanity.
