Two men find a flicker of love in their twilight years in the acclaimed Hong Kong drama Suk Suk . Directed by Ray Yeung, the subtle yet poignant romance stars Ben Yuan ( Tracey ) and Tai Bo as closeted men with families who develop an intimate bond. Tai Bo won Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards for his performance. Suk Suk gently depicts the relationship of the two men amid greater family and social dynamics that affect their lives and decisions. Pak (Tai Bo) has been peacefully married for 40 years and has two adult children and a grandchild. Though past retirement age, he continues to drive a taxi and goes to gay cruising spots to seek company. Hoi (Ben Yuen) is a retired single father who lives with his Christian son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The two meet at a pick-up spot and click immediately. Their relationship grows from physical intimacy to a deeper connection that suggests the possibility of a different future. However, their feelings of obligation and consideration to family make it difficult to change their lives.
