Cats really are out to get you in this fantasy about an alien feline that ends up living with a wacky human family while it plots to take over the planet. Co-starring Ma Li ( Goodbye Mr. Loser ) and child stars Andy Huang and Liu Chutian as Koo's wife and kids, Meow is filled with slapstick, family drama, cats real, animated and animal suit and general weirdness. In a distant corner of the universe, there exists a planet called Meow with a civilization more advanced than that of Earth. For centuries, the King of Meow has been sending scouts to Earth to collect information in preparation for an invasion. However, all the scouts that were dispatched never came back, because they settled comfortably on Earth as house pets. But now, with the future of Meow in danger, the King has decided that taking over Earth is the only path to survival. Meow's greatest warrior Xixili is sent as the vanguard but during the descent to Earth, he loses his powers and turns into a giant fat cat. Biding his time to recover his powers, Xixili takes up residence in the house of bumbling retired goalkeeper Wu (Louis Koo), who has mistaken the alien cat for his acquaintance's pet. At first, Xixili plans to destroy Wu's family of four but over time, he develops a genuine affection for the loud and crazy family. As the day for invasion draws near, Xixili must choose between his mission and his adopted family.
