Yon Fan's 1987 Hitchcock homage Double Fixation employs the same Chinese title as Spellbound and a noir romance story reminiscent of Vertigo . Jacky Cheung, in one of his earliest film roles, plays the beleaguered hero whose life is thrown asunder by murder, mystery and the double allure of Cherie Chung. Photographer Jacky (Jacky Cheung) encounters a woman (Cherie Chung) in red on the street and he is instantly drawn to her. Soon after, he gets embroiled in a murder case due to an antique orb that he was asked to take pictures of. Cherie helps save him, but she gets killed by an assassin. Lost and distraught, Jacky runs off to America. In San Francisco, he meets another woman named Jacqueline who looks exactly like Cherie. This edition comes with special features including director's message, trailer, time gallery, music video and Cherie Chung photo gallery.
