Kizu Natsuki's BL manga Given about the music and relationships of a young amateur rock band was adapted into a hit anime series in 2019. The story continues in a feature film sequel again directed by Yamaguchi Haruka. Set after the events of the first season, the Given movie focuses more on the relationship between Haruki and Akihiko. High school student Uenoyama Ritsuka invites Sato Mafuyu into his band after being deeply shaken by the latter's singing voice. The two, along with Nakayama Haruki and Kaji Akihiko, begin activities as the band Given and successfully hold their first live. Realizing their feelings for each other, Ritsuka and Mafuyu start dating. Meanwhile, Haruki has secretly liked Akihiko for a long time, but Akihiko is in a relationship with his roommate, violinist Murata Ugetsu.
