Versatile Hong Kong filmmaker and actor Alfred Cheung was the man behind the popular early-90s comedy series Her Fatal Ways , and in 1991 he starred in the spin-off, His Fatal Ways , as the Mainland cop coming to the then British colony. Produced by Stephen Shin and directed by Alexander Chan, the fish-out-of-water comedy stars Cheung, Teresa Mo, Suki Kwan, along with Waise Lee, To Siu Chun, Lam Kau, and Hui Siu Hung. Chinese police officer Cheung Po Shing (Alfred Cheung) is righteous and highly principled even though he has superpowers. He is ordered to track down a couple of criminals in Hong Kong, so he goes into town, and the Hong Kong Police assigned inspector Ming (To Siu Chun) to take care of him. Ming's reporter girlfriend Suki (Suki Kwan) decides to match this guy up with her sister (Teresa Mo). Ching's bizarre ways of crimefighting keeps embarrassing the Hong Kong Police, but when Suki gets taken by a gang of Mainland robbers as hostage in her search for a big scoop, it is up to Shing to save their face.
