Based on a story in the famous Liaozhai Zhiyi (a.k.a. Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio ) by Pu Songling, 2014 fantasy romantic comedy The Extreme Fox is directed by Wellson Chin ( The Inspector Wears Skirts ) and stars Alex Fong Lik Sun ( Delete My Love ) as a Ming dynasty scholar who has a fateful encounter with Chrissie Chau's ( Mr. & Mrs. Player ) beautiful fox demon. A long, long time ago, there was a little fox who wanted to become human. To this end, the fox started killing people and stealing their hearts, wreaking havoc in the city. One day, a beautiful girl named Xian Er (Chrissie Chau) shows up at the home of struggling scholar Wang Sheng (Alex Fong). As they begin to develop feelings for one another, they must contend with the jealous advances of bratty tour guide Xiao Cui (Tan Li Nuo, Magic To Win ) and a series of spooky occurrences cropping up around the village.
