In 2015, Makino's shojo manga Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai was adapted into a two-episode TV special starring Sexy Zone member Nakajima Kento ( Silver Spoon ), Komatsu Nana ( Close Range Love ) and Chiba Yudai ( Ouran High School Host Club ). The teen romcom follows heroine Akahana Yu (Komatsu Nana), an average schoolgirl in a love triangle with two very different boys at her dorm: Takumi (Chiba Yudai), the resident Prince Charming, and the devilish, short-tempered Kurosaki Haruto (Nakajima Kento) whom she crosses on her move-in day. In retaliation, he steals her first kiss and then demands she obeys his every word. Thus begins Yu's difficult dorm life under the thumb of Kurosaki-kun! Over time, Yu grows closer to both Takumi and Kurosaki-kun, who are childhood friends, and sees new sides to them beyond their outward appearances. Who will Yu end up with? After meeting the characters in the TV special, Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai completes its romantic story on the silver screen with the 2016 feature film.
