Cambodia jumps into the action game with the blockbuster martial arts film Jailbreak , which aims to do for Khmer cinema what The Raid did for Indonesian cinema. Directed by Cambodia-based Italian filmmaker Jimmy Henderson and produced by Loy Te, the crime action brawler features plentiful fighting scenes that highlight the Khmer martial art of bokator. French-Cambodian stunt actor and coordinator Jean-Paul Ly takes on his first leading role alongside Dara Our, MMA champion Tharoth Sam and former adult actress Celine Tran. Four police officers are put on the seemingly straightforward task of escorting mob rat Playboy (Savin Philip) to a high-security prison. However, Playboy's boss Madame Butterfly (Celine Tran) has decided to snuff him out before he can snitch. When the task force gets to the prison, they're greeted with a mass jailbreak and surrounded on all sides by dangerous criminals and Madame Butterfly's underlings.
