Because of this, Haru thinks that Shizuku is his first friend and even tells her that he likes her! Shizuku is at first indifferent to Haru's confession, but the two grow close over time. Having taken the first step, they begin to open up to other people as well, experiencing friendship, romance and even a love triangle for the first time!
