A sequel to Hong Kong Gentlemen aired earlier in the same year, the classic 1981 RTV melodrama Hong Kong Gentlemen II continues the story of star-crossed love, business and crime. Following the events of the first series, Seoi (Lau Chi Wing) and Lai (Ma Man Yee) choose to leave Hong Kong and move to Fiji. Three years later, they return to Hong Kong to see Lai's ill father. Seoi discovers that Lai's father's assistant Henry (Lau Kong) is colluding with British merchants, and the Ho family is suffering great losses as a result. Seoi decides to stay in Hong Kong and help resolve the Ho family's grave situation.
