Directed by Fujimura Kyohei, My Dad is a Heel Wrestler is based on the picture book Papa wa Warumono Chanpion . Omura Takashi (Tanahashi Hiroshi) was once an ace pro wrestler, but he disappeared from the ring due to injuries. To return to the wrestling ring that he loves, Takashi willingly plays the part of the villain. He dons a cockroach mask and accepts the audience boos. However, he keeps his job a secret from his son Shota (Terada Kokoro). One day, Shota accidentally discovers that his father is a wrestling villain. But his classmates mistake his father for another popular wrestler, and the lies lead to more laughs, lessons and surprises.
