Ring and Juon: The Grudge producer Taka Ichise delivers a different type of ghost story with Ghost: Mou Ichido Dakishimetai , the official Japanese-Korean remake of the Hollywood supernatural romance Ghost . The first Japanese production by Hollywood studio Paramount (in co-production with Japanese and Korean companies), the remake transports the original setting from New York to Tokyo and changes the gender of the two characters. In the role of the wronged spirit (originally played by Patrick Swayze) is Matsushima Nanako ( Ring ), while the widow played by Demi Moore becomes a widower played by popular Korean actor Song Seung Heon. Writers Sato Shimako ( K-20 ) and Nakazono Miho ( Tokyo Tower (2005)) put an unique Asian spin on the original film, creating a touching supernatural romance that successfully stands on its own. Company president Nanami (Matsushima Nanako) meets handsome Korean potter Jyuno (Song Seung Heon) after a wild birthday party. The two eventually fall in love and get married, but their happiness is soon destroyed when Nanami is killed. Nanami returns to the human world in the form of a spirit that only fake medium Satsuki (Kiki Kirin) can talk to. Soon, she discovers that Jyuno is in danger from the people who murdered her, forcing Satsuki to help Nanami protect the love of her life from the afterlife.
