Yamada Yoji returns to the domestic troubles and hijinks of the Hirata family in What a Wonderful Family 2 , the sequel to his 2016 family comedy-drama. The original cast Hashizume Isao, Yoshiyuki Kazuko, Tsumabuki Satoshi, Aoi Yu, Nishimura Masahiko, Natsukawa Yui, Hayashiya Shozo and Nakajima Tomoko reprises for the warmly familiar second film set a few years after its predecessor. Shuzo (Hashizume Isao) enjoys driving, but his family becomes concerned when they notice the dents on his car. For his safety, they want him to give up his driver's license, and he naturally refuses. His family scrambles for a plan, but who can stand up to the stubborn old man?
