Former pink film director Ando Hiroshi tells the tale of a woman who is hopelessly devoted to love in Undulant Fever , the adaptation of a novel by Nakazawa Kei. In a daring powerhouse performance, model-turned-actress Ichikawa Yui ( Tokyo Tribe ) stars as Emiko, a high school student who has fallen head over heels for older student Hiroshi (Ikematsu Sosuke, Love's Whirlpool ). However, the emotionally stunted Hiroshi repeatedly tells Emiko that he's only interested in her for sex and nothing else. Yet, she remains devout to him over the years, even moving to Tokyo to be close to him.
