Writer Li Zhong makes his feature directorial debut with The Laundryman , a rollicking fantasy-action-romantic comedy-thriller starring Joseph Chang ( Wild City ), Sonia Sui ( Women Who Flirt ) and recent Golden Horse Award winner Wan Qian ( Paradise in Service ). Well-received by critics, the film was nominated for four trophies at the 52nd Golden Horse Awards, including Best New Director. The laundryman doesn't have a name. Well, he does, but it was given to him by his boss (Sonia Sui), and it's not much of a name it's Qingtian Street Number One. By day, Qingtian Street Number One works at his boss's laundromat; by night, he works as her deadliest assassin. He's never failed a mission. He's that good. But, maybe too good, as one day he finds a bunch of ghosts his victims hanging around him. Owing to his fear of the supernatural, he desperately seeks help from clairvoyant Lin Xiang (Wan Qian), and with her help, Qingtian Street Number One discovers that the ghosts only point to a much larger problem.
