The Jiji takes on the young'uns in Ryuzo and the Seven Henchmen , a new kind of gangster comedy from director Kitano Takeshi. The legendary Fuji Tatsuya star of numerous gangster films in the 60s is back in the spotlight as Ryuzo, a retired yakuza boss living out a peaceful (and incredibly boring) life at home with his son. One day, Ryuzo almost falls victim to a phone scam and vows to take revenge on the scammers. However, Ryuzo discovers that the members of his old gang have all become pensioners with little remnants of their glorious criminal pasts.
