Lee Jun Ki portrays a gangster-turned-lawyer who uses loopholes to win cases in the legal thriller Lawless Lawyer ! The tvN drama marks his second collaboration with director Kim Jin Min 11 years after the MBC crime action series Time Between Dog and Wolf . Following her appearance in Save Me , rising actress Seo Ye Ji again plays a leading role in this drama. Written by Remember screenwriter Yoon Hyeon Ho, Lawless Lawyer also co-stars Lee Hye Young ( Mother ) and Choi Min Soo ( Pride and Prejudice ). When Bong Sang Pil (Lee Jun Ki) was young, he witnessed his lawyer mother get killed by a corporation boss (Choi Min Soo) who works for respected judge Cha Moon Sook (Lee Hye Young). He decides to become a lawyer oppose those in power and ultimately avenge his mother's death. In his hometown, Sang Pil meets righteous lawyer Ha Jae Yi (Seo Ye Ji), who was demoted after attacking a judge. He invites Jae Yi to work in his office while hiding the fact that he knows a secret behind the death of Jae Yi's mother.
