Deng Chao works again with Devil and Angel and The Breakup Guru co-director and screenwriter Yu Baimei to direct and star in Looking Up ! Co-starring Bai Yu from the hit drama Guardians and Ren Suxi from the sleeper hit A Cool Fish , the film warms hearts with a touching, fanciful story about the love, wonder and conviction that bind a father and son across time and space. Wu Jing also makes a special appearance in the film. Astronaut Ma Fei (Bai Yu) accidentally loses contact with the outside world. In this moment of despair, he thinks of his father Ma Haowen (Deng Chao). Originally an engineer, Haowen was sent to prison when Ma Fei was a child. Upon release, he finds that his truant son is at the bottom of his grade and on the verge of expulsion. Rather than pushing only for scores, Haowen encourages Fei to pursue his dreams and do what he truly likes. Can Haowen change his son's fate with his passion?
