A revenge plan blooms into love in the 1997 romance Repechage (a.k.a. Payback ), an early film featuring superstars Jang Dong Gun and Kim Hee Sun. Directed by Lee Kwang Hoon ( The Legend of the Evil Lake ), the romantic comedy revolves around photographer Eun Hae (Kim Hee Sun) who discovers that her boyfriend Jin Woo (Kim Jin Woo), a renowned painter, has started dating museum curator Hwa Young (Kim Si Won). To get back at him, she meets up with Hwa Young's ex-boyfriend, veterinarian Min Kyu (Jang Dong Gun), and proposes teaming up for revenge. As time passes, however, they begin to fall for each other instead.
