Andy Lau takes on all the bad guys in 1930s Shanghai in the crime action drama Tian Di . Directed by David Lai ( Sword Brothers ), the 1994 film doles out loads of action with Andy as the lone officer fighting against the rampant opium trade. Damian Lau co-stars as the two-faced drug lord who has the corrupt police force in his pocket. After studying in France, Cheung Yat Pang (Andy Lau) returns to China and gets appointed to shut down the opium trade in Shanghai. When he arrives in Shanghai, local bigwigs greet him with a mix of bribes and threats but Cheung remains unmoved in his dedication to clean up the city.
