Real estate buyers have to deal with the double horror of property prices and haunted homes in Buyer Beware directed by Malaysian filmmaker Jeffrey Chiang ( Dilarang Masuk ). Ambitious real estate agent Charlie (Carlos Chan, Happiness ) joins a property agency run by Gordon (Cheung Kwok Keung) and Lucy (Mimi Kung). He soon learns the secret to the agency's success: Gordon and Lucy purchase cheap properties whose previous tenants died inside and then sell high without disclosing the properties' grisly history to buyers. Though Charlie initially has reservations about the unethical practice, he sets aside his conscience for the high commission and even sells to his ex-girlfriend (Carmen Tong) and his good friend (Bryant Mak). Soon strange and horrifying events begin to befall the buyers of the haunted properties.
