Based on the novel Nanimono by Asai Ryo, Someone gathers an all-star cast for an incisive drama about how the job-hunting process and social media test and reveal the inner depths of one's character. Satoh Takeru ( Rurouni Kenshin ), Suda Masaki ( Death Note Light up the NEW world ), Arimura Kasumi ( Flying Colors ), Nikaido Fumi ( Wolf Girl and Black Prince ) and Okada Masaki ( The Top Secret: Murder in Mind ) play five fresh grads of different personalities who are navigating the spirit-crushing competition of finding a job. Directed by Miura Daisuke ( Love's Whirlpool ), Someone deftly reads between the lines, using Twitter behavior, theater sketches and passive-aggressive interactions to build the underlying tension and turmoil of the protagonists. Reticent observer Takuto (Satoh Takeru) sets aside his passion for theater and approaches the job-hunting process with serious precision. His roommate, bright and free-spirited Kamiya (Suda Masaki), begins his job search late with no goal in mind. Gentle and sincere Mizuki (Arimura Kasumi), Kamiya's ex-girlfriend, just returned from study abroad and seeks the job security of a large company. Mizuki's big-talking friend Rika (Nikaido Fumi) is determined to get a good job, while her patronizing boyfriend Miyamoto (Okada Masaki) puts down the job-seeking herd mentality. The five meet regularly at Rika's apartment and share their job-searching progress. They encourage each other nominally and craft public identities on Twitter, but each person is keeping their true thoughts to themselves.
