Award-winning indie film Lucky Chan-sil follows a filmmaker's struggles to find her way while pursuing her dream. Lead actress Kang Mal Geum ( More Than Family ) was recognized as Best New Actress at multiple award ceremonies, including the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 40th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. Writer-director Kim Cho Hee ( Ladies of the Forest ) and Yoon Yeo Jeong won Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress at the 7th Korean Film Producers Association Awards, respectively. Lucky Chan-sil also co-stars Kim Young Min ( Between the Seasons ), Yoon Seung Ah ( Method ) and Bae Yoo Ram ( EXIT ). Film producer Chan Sil (Kang Mal Geum) becomes unemployed after the sudden death of a director she has long worked with. She later gets hired as a housekeeper at actress Sophie's (Yoon Seung Ah) home, and there she meets French tutor Kim Young (Bae Yoo Ram). With the help of her landlord (Yoon Yeo Jeong) and Jang Kook Young (Kim Young Min), Chan Sil slowly regains her strength to embark on a new journey in life.
