Everybody is waiting for somebody. Following 2011's You Are The Apple Of My Eye , which swept Asia by storm, writer and producer Giddens returned in the summer of 2014 with the second film of his romance trilogy, Caf . Waiting. Love . Based on Giddens's first novel, the romantic comedy tells the love story of university students Si Ying and A-Tuo, played by newcomers Song Yun Hua and Steve Bruce. When she starts working at a caf owned by a quiet and mysterious woman (veteran songstress Vivian Chow), university freshman Si Ying meets the ultra-cool master barista A Bu-si (Megan Lai, Miss Ross ) and delights in getting the chance to stare at her crush, caf regular and seeming playboy Ze Yu (Zhang Li Ang). One day, the happy-go-lucky A-Tuo, a senior at Si Ying's university who has quite a reputation, comes to the caf with his friends, where he sees the person who stole his ex-girlfriend A Bu-si. His friends proceed to tease him mercilessly, and Si Ying, who has a great sense of justice, decides to tell them off. From then on, Si Ying and A-Tuo become confidants and great friends, with A-Tuo harboring feelings for Si Ying. When A-Tuo decides to leave Taiwan to achieve his dream of traveling around the world, Si Ying is forced to face her real feelings for him.
