Seven Days in Heaven director Wang Yu Lin explores LGBTQ issues and relationships in Alifu, The Prince/Ss . The Taiwan drama interweaves four stories of love and identity with an ensemble cast that includes newcomer Utjung Tjakivalid, Chao Yi Lan ( Drifting Flowers ), Jen Shuo Cheng ( Thanatos, Drunk ), folk music legend Ara Kimbo and Bamboo Chen ( Great Buddha+ ), who won Best Supporting Actor at the 41st Golden Horse Film Awards. As the son of the tribal chief, aboriginal youth Alifu (Utjung Tjakivalid) is suddenly called upon to inherit his father's position. However, Alifu, who works as a hair stylist in Taipei, is saving up for sex reassignment surgery. Meanwhile, Alifu's supportive roommate Peizhen (Chao Yi Lan, Drifting Flowers ), who recently broke up with her girlfriend, begins to develop feelings for Alifu. Transgender drag bar owner Sherry (Bamboo Chen) has long held a torch for plumber Wu (Wu Peng Feng), but the two remain just friends until Sherry's illness comes to light. Civil servant Chris (Jen Shuo Cheng) has a stable day job and a live-in girlfriend (Angie Wang), but at night, he secretly performs at Sherry's bar where he meets Alifu.
