On January 1, 1983, music teacher Ji Hwan (Jo Jung Suk) got stabbed by a robber after proposing to his girlfriend Yoon Jung (Lim Soo Jung). On the same day in 2015, detective Gun Woo (Lee Jin Wook) gets shot while chasing a criminal. The two dying men, who are coincidentally sent to the same hospital, are miraculously revived after a power blackout and acquire the added ability of dreaming each other's lives. Falling for Yoon Jung in his dreams, Gun Woo naturally becomes attracted to her present-day doppelganger So Eun (Lim Soo Jung). After he discovers that Yoon Jung was killed right after New Year's Eve in 1983, Gun Woo teams up across time with Ji Hwan to save her.
