Starring Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, the fantasy wuxia The Untamed was China's most sensational drama series of 2019. Besides the popular cast and the exciting and moving story, the drama's soundtrack has also been a big hit and widely praised for its traditional Chinese-style melodies. Produced by Lin Hai, The Untamed soundtrack features the duet and solo versions of the theme song Wuji performed by Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. The two leads also sing their own character image songs: Bu Wang for Wang Yibo's Lan Wangji and Qu Jin Chen Qing for Xiao Zhan's Wei Wuxian. Other artists who participated in the soundtrack include Ayanga, Zhou Shen, Zhu Xingjie, Wang Ju, Wang Zhuocheng, Liu Haikuan and Yu Bin, who performed the image song for his character Wen Ning.
