Inspired by true events, The Unborn Soul (a.k.a. Vong Nhi ) is directed by Hoang Tuan Cuong, who helmed the 2022 horror comedy Nha Khong Ban . The blockbuster Vietnamese horror drama stars Quoc Huy, Trang Duong Le Phuong, Kim Anh Nhat and Hanh Thuy Ngo Pham, who also served as screenwriter. Tung (Quoc Huy) and Thao (Trang Duong Le Phuong) have been married for four years, but they haven't been able to have a child. They are thrilled when Thao finally becomes pregnant. While the two are preparing for the arrival of their first child, strange things begin to happen. Mysterious laughing sounds appear in their home, and sometimes they see the image of a little girl flash by. Thao realizes that the strange happenings may be related to an accident she caused years ago.
