A group of junior high school students discover a portal to another world in the animated feature Lonely Castle in the Mirror based on Tsujimura Mizuki's award-winning fantasy novel. Directed by Hara Keiichi ( Miss Hokusai ), the fantasy mystery unlocks the troubles and traumas of adolescents in need of help. Unable to fit in at school, Kokoro shuts herself in her room. One day, the mirror in her room suddenly glows, and she enters the mirror into another world. Inside, there is a castle like the ones in fairy tales, and she meets six other junior high school students. A mysterious girl in a wolf mask appears and says, If you find the key hidden in the castle, I will grant you any wish. While searching for the key together, the seven students realize they have one thing in common. Over time, they gradually get to know each other and understand each other's circumstances. The castle turns into a special refuge for them, but then something happens. Will they find the key, and what is the wish hidden in each person's heart?
