With shorts ranging from the outrageous to the heartwarming, the Eric Tsang-produced anthology features a host of familiar Hong Kong actors. Helmed by Eric Tsang's son Derek Tsang, Concrete follows a police officer (Pakho Chau) who arrives at a creepy apartment building to investigate a family dispute report. At the apartment, he sees a girl (Yanny Chan) who insists they did not call the police and a woman (Cecilia Yip) at a sewing machine, and then gets knocked out. When he regains consciousness, half of his body is trapped in concrete. In Henri Wong's A Banquet, a single father (Eddie Cheung) and his son carefully prepare their gift and practice their lines of well-wishes before attending the wedding of his ex-wife (Jessica Hsuan). A 72-year-old bit actor (Lo Hoi Pang) has decided to follow his wife into death in Wong Chun's Good Take. Noticing two debt collectors harassing his neighbor, he tries to play the hero for once before he dies. Putting his acting skills to use, he poses as a minister to enter the home, only to discover the situation is even more absurd than he thought. In Vernie Yeung's The Solitudes, playboy Chak (Sam Lee) picks up the flirtatious Fong Fong (Cherrie Ying) at a nightclub and brings her to a motel. But he gets much more than he bargained for when she ties him to the bed and tortures him. Chak may not remember Fong Fong, but she'll never forget how he destroyed her life. Charlene Choi plays a woman who returns from abroad to inherit the dilapidated building left by her grandmother in Wong Ching Po's We Are Ghosts. She's greeted by the scary sight of a hopping vampire, a long-haired woman and a girl in braids. Even worse, thugs from a predatory property company show up to try to force her to sell the building at a low price.
