After working closely for A Better Tomorrow III, Once Upon a Time in China , and A Chinese Ghost Story II, Tsui Hark and Marco Mak collaborate again to present a modern form of martial arts in Xanda . Leading actors Sang Weilin, Zhao Zilong, and Sing Kwan are winners of various national Xanda tournaments in China. Xanda revolves around Qiang (Sang Weilin) who has been practising kung fu since a young age. Fearing loss, Qiang has not participated in any kung fu contest since winning the national tournament.
