Jang Dong Gun takes an eye for an eye in the grueling revenge thriller Seven Years of Night . Based on the same-titled novel by renowned writer Jung Yoo Jung, Seven Years of Night is directed and co-written by award-winning filmmaker Choo Chang Min ( Masquerade ). Jang Dong Gun stars as a father who wants to avenge his daughter's death. Ryu Seung Ryong ( Miracle in Cell No. 7 ) takes the role of a reservoir guard who accidentally hits the girl with his car. Seven Years of Night also includes Go Kyung Pyo ( Reply 1988 ), Song Sae Byuk ( A Girl At My Door ) and child actress Lee Re ( Hope ) who plays the young victim. Young girl Oh Se Ryung (Lee Re) runs away from home to escape her father's abuse. Unfortunately, she is accidentally hit by a car while running away. Shocked by the fact that he killed a girl, the driver Choi Hyun Soo (Ryu Seung Ryong) throws her body into a lake and pretends nothing happened. To avenge his daughter, Oh Young Je (Jang Dong Gun) carries out a seven-year-long revenge plan to inflict physical and mental abuse on Choi Hyun Soo and his son Seo Won (Go Kyung Pyo).
