Since the release of The Eye in 2002, the Pang Brothers have effectively rewritten the Hong Kong horror genre. The twin directing duo made their start in Thailand before crossing over to Hong Kong, and more recently to Hollywood with The Messengers and their upcoming Bangkok Dangerous remake. During their career in Thailand, the Pangs often collaborated with leading man Pawalit Mongkolpisit who starred in the original Bangkok Dangerous and 2001's One Take Only , as well as Card of Death from Oxide Pang's Bite Till Die series. Similar to Oxide Pang's most recent The Detective , Bite Till Die - Card of Death revolves around a private detective agency that often investigates mysterious cases. Dragonhair and his assistant Gene take on a new job to help a boy find his missing mother. Their first lead is a tarot card fortune teller, but she turns up dead. Her murder leads Dragonhair and Gene to another woman, but she too is also murdered. As the detectives follow the mysterious trail of clues, bodies pile up and their own lives are put on the line.
